Top 10 Best Minecraft Modpacks of All Time

Top 10 best Minecraft modpacks banner with RLCraft dragon and SkyFactory rainbow factory

I’ll be honest—putting together this list wasn’t easy. I’ve been playing Minecraft for years, and as a full-time Minecraft content creator, I’ve tried more modpacks than I can count. Some were total trash, others were fun for a few hours, and a few were so good I forgot I was even playing Minecraft.

That said, let’s dive into my personal top 10 Minecraft modpacks of all time.
(And just so you know—this list isn’t ranked. It’s just what I personally think are the best.)

Top 10 Best Minecraft Modpacks

I’ll be honest—putting together this list wasn’t easy. I’ve been playing Minecraft for years, and as a full-time Minecraft content creator, I’ve tried more modpacks than I can count. Some were total trash, others were fun for a few hours, and a few were so good I forgot I was even playing Minecraft.

That said, let’s dive into my personal top 10 Minecraft modpacks of all time.
(And just so you know—this list isn’t ranked. It’s just what I personally think are the best.)

RLcraft

I had to start with this one. RLcraft was the modpack that literally changed my life. It’s what pushed me to go full-time on YouTube and gave me some of my best Minecraft memories. It’s tough, chaotic, and unforgiving—but that’s the fun of it.

Better MC

If you want a modpack that just makes Minecraft feel better without making it unrecognizable, this is the one. Better MC adds tons of new features while still feeling like Minecraft. Dungeons, new mobs, better performance—it’s all here.

Pixelmon and Cobblemon

I’m putting both of these together because they’re kinda like cousins. Pixelmon is the OG Pokémon modpack, but Cobblemon is newer and more lightweight. Either way, if you’re into catching Pokémon in Minecraft, you’ll have a blast with these.

SkyFactory (All Versions)

SkyFactory is just one of those modpacks that never gets old. SkyFactory 4 is the fan favorite, but honestly, you can pick any version and have a great time. Starting on a small area in the sky and building up a whole world from nothing? Always satisfying.

DawnCraft – Echoes of Legends

This one is perfect for players who love story-driven adventures. With custom bosses, lore, and progression systems, DawnCraft makes Minecraft feel like a full-on fantasy RPG.

All The Mods & ATM – To The Sky

All The Mods modpacks are packed (literally) with hundreds of mods, and yet they still somehow run well. ATM8, ATM9, and ATM10 are all solid picks. If you’re into skyblock-style gameplay, the All The Mods To The Sky series is worth trying too.

Fabulously Optimized

Let’s be real—not every modpack has to be about fighting dragons or surviving hardcore worlds. Fabulously Optimized is all about making Minecraft run smoother and look better. If your PC isn’t a gaming beast, this modpack is a game changer. I was able to even run some shaders with it!

DeceasedCraft

DeceasedCraft is the perfect modpack for anyone who wants that Walking Dead vibe in Minecraft. Zombies, survival mechanics, and just enough chaos to keep you on your toes. It’s not exactly “relaxing,” but it’s definitely fun.

Prominence 2 RPG: Hasturian Era

Massive open world. Custom weapons. New quests and mobs. Prominence 2 is basically Minecraft turned into a full-blown RPG. If you love grinding, exploring, and unlocking gear, you’ll love this one.

Cave Horror Project

We couldn’t end this list without a true horror modpack. DeceasedCraft is creepy, but Cave Horror Project? That one actually scares you. The lighting, the sounds, the dark narrow caves… yeah, play this one with headphones at night. If you dare.

Conclusion

Whether you’re into hardcore survival, building in the sky, catching Pokémon, or just making your game run smoother, there’s a modpack out there for you. These are my personal favorites, and I hope you find one on this list that brings back that spark we all felt the first time we loaded up Minecraft.
